Shane is 28 and lives and works in Georgia, where I am originally from. He suffers from Kleine-Levin Syndrome.  This is an illness that creates what we refer to as "sleeping Episodes". He will go to sleep and literally sleep anywhere from 3 to 17 days, only waking to eat or go to the restroom. Once he does awaken again, he has no memory of the episode and feels just fine.
